The City of Alexandria has been voted the second friendliest city in the United States. The city was awarded this accolade according to the 2019 Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards. Alexandria lost the top award to Savannah Georgia and came out on top above Boulder Colorado. In addition to this latest award, Alexandria has already won the award for one of the South's Best Cities and the top 3 Best Small City in the US. Alexandria has once again been nominated for the 2020 Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards and residents are urged to start voting for the city.
