Awesome Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) is set to launch their Alexandria Chapter in Old Town on May 23, 2019. The Awesome Women Entrepreneurs is a professional networking group for women business owners. The launch of the Alexandria Chapter will be held at Industrious Alexandria at 2461 Eisenhowever Avenue from 6-8 pm.
DeDee Cai founder of Fit to Profit who will co head the launch states that "the purpose of this initial meeting is to introduce AWE to potential members of the community and share the benefits of belonging to - and participating in - an established hyper-local group of women who want to connect, collaborate and just be awesome".
Co-founded by two (2) Arlington entrepreneurs Karen Bate and Evelyn Powers AWE has six (6) chapters throughout the DC region. Co-founder Powers states that "AWE is open to women at all stages of entrepreneurship, from side hustle to seasoned pro". AWE provides many benefits to women who are entrepreneurs.
