Arlington Public Schools Ranked Top School Systems In Virginia

Arlington Public Schools system ranked top for the second year in a row. This is according to a recent report released by ranking site Niche. The new 2020 Best Schools list ranked Arlington Public  Schools top of all others in the Commonwealth with an A+ ranking. Falls Church City Public Schools was No. 2, Loudoun County Public Schools was No. 4, while Fairfax County Public Schools was No. 6.

Arlington Public Schools got an A or A+ grade in the six major categories evaluated by Niche. These included academics, teachers, clubs and activities, diversity, college prep, and health and safety.  APS also received high marks from user reviews. In one of the reviews, a high school senior had posted: "I have grown up in Arlington my entire life. This small town has taught me how to love home football games and holiday-themed parades. Every school, elementary, middle, and high school, has provided me with tools to grow as a student. The faculty has laid down the stepping stones for me to become a successful woman, and I cannot thank them enough." Arlington's high schools also performed well in the Niche ranking of the top schools in the DC region. Among the schools that stood out was Washington-Lee at No. 13, Yorktown at No. 17, and Wakefield at No. 51.
