Art And Music Combine For An Art Exhibit At Del Ray Artisans Gallery

The Del Ray Artisans gallery will host an art exhibit dubbed "High Note" from September 6th to the 29th at its Mount Vernon Avenue location. The exhibit which will explore the connection between music and the mind will begin with an opening reception on Friday September 6 from 7-9 pm. In addition to the art exhibit, the gallery will also host special workshops. The workshops will all combine art with music workshops such as: Rhythmic Strokes, Fun with Musical Glass Decals, Music-themed Paper Collage and Sound Meditation with Dante. A musical performance will be held on September 20 to benefit Friends of Rock of Ages Music (ROAM) which is a volunteer run based organization which provides music lessons to youths that may not be able to afford these lessons due to lack of funds.
