Renovated Pools In Reston To Be Opened In December

Reston Community Center is all set to welcome visitors of all ages to its two brand-new pools later this year. These pools are ready after a nearly year-long construction project. The two new pools include a 25-yard lap pool with beach entry and water play features and a deeper, warm-water exercise pool. These pools will allow RCC  to offer more aquatics programming at its renovated facility. Other renovations include a new roof, all new equipment systems for water filtration and air-handling, updated and more effective stormwater management, and locker room improvements. Founders Walk is a garden-style condo community located off South Van Dorn Street in Alexandria. The neighborhood is home to 201 condos that were built between 1998 and 2000. A Little About Belvale In Fairfax County

Belvale is a historic house in Fairfax County, Virginia built between 1763 and 1766. Belvale was built by George Johnston, a member of the Virginia Assembly 1758-1766, a friend of Patrick Henry, and a legal advisor to George Washington, who was a frequent visitor to the home. The home's original lands were first granted on July 6, 1698, to Richard Carpenter, who bequeathed them in 1750 to his wife Mary and daughter Ann, who sold the property to Johnston in 1763. Visit Laurel Grove School Museum

The Laurel Grove School Museum is located at 6840 Beulah St Alexandria, VA. The Laurel Grove School Museum is a museum that shares the history of the Laurel Grove Colored School, a school created to educate the first generation of black children born to freedom. The Laurel Grove School was founded in 1881 by William and Georgiana Jasper, who deeded a half-acre of their 13-acre land to the Mount Vernon School District in VA. Continue reading
