Fairfax County Ponders Upon Transition To Electrical Vehicles

Climate activists, electric vehicle owners, and residents attended the Environment Virginia Electric Vehicle Showcase on Saturday morning. They discussed the future of transportation and how Fairfax County can lead the state in the transition to EVs. The event was held in front of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. It gave people the opportunity to experience electric vehicles firsthand, and learn about how other types of electric vehicles on display – including a transit bus and electric bicycles – could be deployed in their communities. Fountainhead Regional Park Fall Colors Kayak Tour will take place at Fountainhead Regional Park 10875 Hampton Road, Fairfax Station on 28 October 2019. Led by NOVA Parks roving naturalist David Garcia, this kayak tour will take those ages 14 and older on an afternoon adventure along the Occoquan Reservoir. Learn About The History Of Cherry Hill Farmhouse

The Cherry Hill Farmhouse is a house museum in Falls Church, Virginia, United States. It was built in 1845 and was once a thriving 73-acre farm owned by William A. Blaisdell which was occupied during the Civil War. Today, it is owned by the City of Falls Church and operates as a museum showcasing 18th and 19th-century furniture and tools, a buggy shed, a tackle barn, a corn crib, a well-house, and "necessary" (outdoor toilet).
