The event dubbed Sips & Secrets: A Speakeasy Night will celebrate the house's Prohibition-era history. The event will be held from 7 pm to 10 pm and attendees will be able to enjoy 1920s-style drinks while dancing the night away to live jazz music and ragtime. Attendees will also be treated to dance and costume contests and be able to win great prizes in a silent auction by local Alexandria businesses. A pre-reception will be held for VIP members which will include an exclusive liquor tasting and a tour of the house. All proceeds of the event will support the mission of Lee-Fendall House Museum & Garden to provide a place for the Alexandria community to explore the shared history of the museum and its relevance today.
