There is seating at the front of the shop to take a cup of coffee.Grape and Bean is just another example of an Old Town artisan boutique. Shops like Grape and Bean, or as they call themselves Grape + Bean, are community assets and part of what makes Old Town so special. Long-time Alexandria residents David Gwathmey and Sheera Rosenfeld opened Grape & Bean in 2008. Together they have managed to create a place that is comfortable, warm and welcoming, while offering excellent service and high quality products.
Grape and Bean is a retail wine shop, coffee shop and a wine tasting bar. Along with wine by the glass and coffee by the cup, Grape and Bean offers a food menu with cheese plates and other items that are tailored for sharing. As a wine and coffee shop, Grape and Bean of course retails wine by the bottle and coffee by the pound. I find that they are an excellent resource for gift baskets, and they'll really put the time in to help you make your best selection.

Woodmark is a community located in Woodbridge, VA, in Prince William County. Its situated right off of Old bridge Road. The townhouses look about mid-sized, maybe a little smaller. The homes are so diverse looking, with many different styles and colors. The streets are wide enough for extra parking on the side of the road. The up-keep of the community is pretty decent. Belmont Bay is also located very close to I-95, route 1, and route 123, making commuting at least a little easier. The appearance of the homes isn't very attractive on the outside but the neighborhood seems to be pretty quiet and pleasant overall.
A quaint golf course community, Lake Manassas is a Gainesville housing community with its own shopping center. The neighborhood offers an impressive array of golf holes and a Clubhouse with delicious food. Lake Manassas has a good compromise of upper-style living retirement homes and large roomy houses for those with young children. The landscape is also very aesthetic; the Home Owner's Association guarantees flowers year round and grass that is always green.
A unique feature of the neighborhood is a private road connecting it to the local shopping area. The shopping center includes several shops including Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Bubbles Hair Salon, and Wegmans Grocery. Other stores include Michael's Craft Store, Staples, and Dunkin Donuts.
A survey by American Lives, a consumer research firm in California, conducted a study for the trade magazine Builder to answer that question. Here are their conclusions:
They are young. Most are under 45. Half said they had annual household incomes of $75,000 or less. Two-thirds are married.
They are frugal. They consistently told surveyors they were eager to live a simple lifestyle.
They are concerned about their financial future. About 70 percent said the economy is “not so good” with 27 percent saying it was getting worse and 27 percent saying it was getting better, and two-thirds saying it would get better in a year. Some 55 percent said they were concerned that they might lose their jobs.
They see themselves as energy efficient but not necessarily “green.” About 32 percent said they’d pay extra for energy-efficient features but only 16 percent said they’d pay extra for recycled or renewable construction materials.
Neighborhood is important. Ninety-five percent said they thought the community was as important as the home itself. Seventy-nine percent wanted the most square footage they could afford, but 69 percent said they’d consider a smaller home in the right neighborhood.
