Join Step Afrika! Juneteenth Virtual Celebration

A D.C dance company, Step Afrika!, is engaging the Juneteenth holiday as an opportunity to fortify relationships in local communities, in honor of freedom, justice, and equality. Step Afrika! commemorates Juneteenth (June 19, 1865) and the true end of slavery with a new virtual program, “Step Afrika! Juneteenth Celebration” on Friday, June 19th at 8 pm/et. Enjoy This Weekend At Burke Center Festival

The Burke Centre Festival is going to take place on Sept. 7-8, 2019. It is one of the biggest festivals in Northern Virginia taking place this weekend. This annual event has been around for more than 40 years and will be held for two days. The Burke Center Festival features dozens of family activities, live entertainment, and music, all with free admission. All events will take place at the Burke Centre Conservancy Grounds. Improve Your Dance Skills at Lioudmila’s Dance Studio

Lioudmila's Dance Studio was started in 2000 and is located at 18 Roth St Alexandria, VA 22336. Lioudmila is just off Duke St. a little bit after Old Town and at the beginning of West End Alexandria. The phone number for Lioudmila is (703) 751-8868. Lioudmila's has experienced dance instructors that give lessons in a wide variety of dance styles - from Salsa, to Swing, to what ever you request. Lioudmila's has group lessons that are great for newbies to learn the basics, and dance parties that are great for advanced dancers to hone their skills. Lioudmila's is affordable with indvidual rates as well as monthly rates. I went here recently and after an hour long training session I learned the basic footwork to the Rumba dance.
