Tour Historical Homes At The Twig’s 78th Historic Alexandria Homes Tour
The Twig's 78th Historic Annual Alexandria Homes Tour will take place on September 28th from 10 am to 3 pm in Old Town Alexandria. The walking tour will feature several of Alexandria's finest 18th and early 19th century homes located in Old Town. Patrons will learn the historic pasts of these homes and learn more about the community and its evolution as a vibrant, livable community. The proceeds of the event will benefit Inova Alexandria Hospital.

The 17th Annual Alexandria King Street Art Festival will be held on Saturday September 21st and Sunday September 22nd at 220 King Street in Old Town Alexandria. The historic King Street will be transformed into a world class outdoor art gallery where art lovers can come and discover spectacular paintings, life size sculptures, jewelry, photography, ceramics and more. The annual event will feature festival booths lined along King Street between Washington and Union Street with over six blocks of artwork by more than 200 artists from the US and abroad. With more than $15 million in art been displayed visitors can purchase one of a kind wares and meet the artist behind the work. All are invited to attend this popular two (2) day annual event.
The Friendship Veterans Fire Engine Association (FVFEA) will be hosting its Annual Firehouse Festival at The Friendship Firehouse Museum, 107 S. Alfred St Alexandria on August 3 from 9 am to 2 pm. The Friendship Veterans Fire Engine Association is an organization which focuses on fire fighting history and fire safety. It is an active organization which hosts this event annually and it supports the preservation of the Friendship Firehouse Museum and its collections.
The Annual Birthday Celebrations of the United States and the City of Alexandria will be held at Oronoco Bay Park on the Potomac Waterfront at 100 Madison Street Alexandria on July 13 from 6 pm to 10 pm. The event will mark the 243rd birthday of the United States and the 270th birthday of the City of Alexandria.
