The neighborhoods of Old Town and Del Ray will come alive on August 10th and 11th at the 10th Annual Alexandria Summer Sidewalk Sale. The event which is led by Visit Alexandria in partnership with the City of Alexandria, the Del Ray Business Association, Old Town Boutique District and Old Town Business will see a showcase of over 50 Alexandria boutiques offering summer merchandise at discounts of up to 80 percent. Boutiques will be offering items ranging from fashion, jewelry, home decor, culinary goods and seasonal gift items. The King Street Mile in Old Town will be a new addition to the event. This area will feature storefront activations, giveaways and live music. There will be lemonade stands, a rose bar, a snow cone machine, Jenja, a bubble bar, mosaic making demonstrations among other activities. Entertainment on the King Street Mile will be provided by the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra with pop up music at pocket park. Some stores participating in this year's event includes The Hour, Bishop Boutique, The Dog Park, Pacers Running, Wear Ever Jewelry, 529 Kids Consign, The Shoe Hive, Fibre Space. Food and Refreshments will be provided by McEnerney Commercial, Brabo Brasserie and Brabo Tasting Room. Patrons can take their dogs and stop by the pet-friendly Kimpton Lorien Hotel & Spa which will feature a complimentary station with gourmet pet treas and water bowls.
