King Street in Old Town Alexandria could become the new home for an apartment hotel slated to be constructed at 805 King Street. The 15 unit apartment hotel will be constructed in an unused office space above the Warby Parker Store. Property owners Asana Partners have stated that "the proposed apartment hotel would provide tourists and business travelers the opportunity to experience Alexandria and patronize the local restaurants and shops". The proposed space for the hotel would total 6,584 square feet on the first through fourth floors with rooms slated to be between 225 and 527 square feet with a small kitchen. Hotel guests would also be able to access a ground level courtyard. Guests to the hotel will make their booking online and staff would be available via phone for assistance. The Alexandria Planning Commission is set to make a decision on the proposed apartment hotel at its next meeting.
